We are a volunteer-led community hub in the heart of Grassington, serving Grassington and the surrounding neighbourhoods of Upper Wharfedale.
Your donations are very important to Grassington Hub. The generosity of supporters like you means that we can continue providing our essential services
There are several ways you can donate to us.
- Drop your loose change in our Donations Pot in the Hub
- Make a one off Donation, through this website, or send us a cheque.
- Become a ‘G H & L 500’ supporter by committing to a regular monthly donation by standing order.
- Including a Gift in your Will.
Whichever method you choose, you will be helping to keep your local community library open, supporting people living in rural isolation, helping people get to medical appointments, and providing social activities for local people.
G H & L 500 SUPPORTERS
Grassington Hub is a giving organisation with little opportunity to generate the funds to keep it moving forward.
Every year we have a shortfall in funds. Although we are actively applying for grants to cover specific projects and core funding, we are also asking for your further support to help keep our community library open, and all of our other community services going.
Our G H & L 500 campaign aims to attract 500 people, who believe in what the Hub offers to our community, to pledge a regular monthly donation to keep us in business. We currently have around 80 local people making a regular donation.
As a ‘G H & L 500’ supporter, you will help build our ‘£25,000 book tower’ each year. Our ‘G H & L 500’ tower of wooden books, situated just outside the Hub, will let everyone see how close we are to reaching our annual funding target.
You will receive a regular quarterly email newsletter all about the Hub’s current activities, latest achievements, future plans and, of course, how close we are to reaching our annual funding target. And, if you are happy for us to do so, we’ll put your name, with a big THANK YOU, on our supporters list in the Hub.
G H & L 500 SUPPORTERS
By choosing to make a regular donation you will be helping us plan ahead, and be supporting our community services and activities.
You can make a regular monthly donation of £5, £10 or £20.
£5 a month (£60 a year) will pay our Business Rates for one month.
£10 a month (£120 a year) will pay our heat and light for two months.
£20 a month (£240 a year) will pay for the room hire for our Lunch Club for 6 months
It’s easy to become a ‘G H & L 500’ supporter just complete one of our forms to set up a regular standing order payment to the Hub.
Standing orders need to be set up with your bank. You can either:
- Complete one of our standing order forms, drop it in to the Hub, and we will send it to your bank on your behalf; or,
- Set up the standing order directly with your bank either through on-line banking, telephone banking, or in person at your local branch. (All the details you will need are on our downloadable standing order form).
GIFTS IN WILLS
By leaving a gift in your will to Grassington Hub you are helping to secure your community hub and library, and all our vital services, for future generations to enjoy.
We understand that writing a will is something many of us put off for all kinds of reasons. That’s why we offer our supporters a few services to make leaving a gift in your will a little easier.
- We can put you in touch with a local solicitor who can draft a new will for you, or amend and existing will
- We can provide you with wording to include in your will to enable you to leave a gift to Grassington Hub.
